The predominate religion practiced among those living in the Aexian Wastes requires masks to be worn in the light of the sun. It is believed that the sun is a representation of their god, and so to cover one’s face is viewed as a sign of humility and respect. These masks are quite ornate, using a sort of heraldry to identify the wearer.
