Brigard Fact #69

During the early summer in Brigard’s southeast coast, particularly eye-catching insects known as opal cicadas emerge from the ground. As their name suggests, these cicadas have shells that glitter in a variety of colours. In the past, opal cicadas were used for decoration and thought to ward off madness. Though they are rarely used in that way in more recent times, they are still admired and prized by collectors.
