Brigard Fact #85

Long ago, a group of soldiers from various kingdoms grew disenchanted with the endless skirmishes they were ordered to fight. Risking execution, they abandoned their positions and joined together in the wilderness to form a new group known as the Ulenim, or Owl Guard. In honor of their namesake, members wore deep brown robes and white masks painted to resemble the face of an owl. The Ulenim devoted themselves to fighting against what they saw as tyranny. Despite the best efforts of local governments, they were never completely disbanded. Their influence faded into the background over the years, but even in present times, they remain in the shadowy dusk of Brigard, carefully watching events unfold.
